AWW i wanna move back to my home town:( It’s been i while i haven’t gone what route is this?
You drive too fast.
Tahoe Is One Of My Favorite Vacation Spots Havent Been To Emerald Bay Yet…………..Oh Nice Music
best views from what I remember….San Simeon, Monterrey, and Carmel….the whole drive is nice, kind of scary unless you are going north
Coast side is so beautiful you can get distracted…
Not yet. Actually later the same day I filmed this, I drove the entire Oregon coast. But I didn’t film it because the light was poor.
I want to do a CA-1 video, but I’m not sure where the best scenery is….guess I’ll have to check out Google Maps street view to decide.
gorgeous drive…have done it a few times, Nevada/Cali has some of the best views….do you have one for the coast Highway 1??
I just drive this route last week (February 2010). It really gets your heart pumping in the winter!
haha. nice video. i liked it
thats good.
@missalc13 Its usually closed in the winter due to slide danger.
Great video. I took this road one winter and was scared to death at the 180 degree spot. We had just slid off the road, were almost home, and then came to that 180 turn. No guardrails. That was the most afraid I’ve ever been.
I know. I hate the music too. Had to do an audio swap, and they didn’t have much to choose from – so I just gave up.
Nice video… but the music is a crap.
wouldnt want to drive on this road in the winter!
Lotsa trees. I remember driving this route in a Mitsubishi rental. Nice.
I used to live in Tahoe when I was little. My Mom always got real nervous when we came to the part with the 180-degree hairpin curves at 1:53-2:07.
cool i now sub 2 you
Hee! I am from Pennsylvania and flew into Reno, rented a jeep and went to Lake Tahoe for vacation this past weekend. I watched this video a week or two before I went and the closer I got to Emerald Bay the more I thought about the twists and turns in this video and the more terrified I got! Hahah! I am happy to say I made it safe and sound though and am glad I made the drive because Emerald Bay left me speechless.
WHAT that comment said…hahaha..its me…lol
THIS is ONE of MY FAV places to take my fam and friends when they come to visit here….MY BF DOC wont go there though…hahahah….POOR BABY hates heights!!!
SUCKS….BEAUTIFUL spit..THE TEA HOUSE IS AWESOME!!! The Bay is ….just spectacular!!!
these windy mountain highways look a lot more fun when sped up like this, almost like a rollercoaster ride.
reat video and sound track – thanks for the trip.
I think this is one of the best road video i ever seen!
